LOCATION: IOWA CITY & CEDAR RAPIDS
PAY: $25-33/hr DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance on HUSKY injection molding machines, POLYMAC electrical molding machines, and FIG machines, which are robotic and hydraulic in nature. The ideal candidate must be proficient in reading a voltammeter, familiar with hydraulic pumps and valves, and able to read electrical prints. Experience with robotics and automation is a plus.
ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled maintenance and preventive maintenance on packagers and sealing equipment.Maintain Paper Machinery (PMC) and Thermoforming Cup Forming machines, carton sealers, and related conveyor equipment.Understand and implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.Read and interpret blueprints.Log and maintain accurate records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Perform tool changeovers as needed.Essential SkillsExperience as a maintenance technician.Ability to read blueprints and electrical prints.Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Proficiency in MIG/stick welding.Experience with hand and power tools, including 480v systems.Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, troubleshooting, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance.Mechanical repair skills and schematic reading.Understanding of pneumatics, hand tools, industrial and heavy equipment maintenance.Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.GED required; vocational or trade school degree desired but not required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $36.00/hr.
