Hiring Material Handlers
**Immediate Openings for Material Handlers / Overhead Crane Operators** **Job Description:** + **Training:** One month of training involving general clean-up, learning color codes for steel, warehouse placement, and crane operation based on previous experience. + **Responsibilities:** + Walk 8-10 hour shifts (approximately 8 miles a day) in an indoor/outdoor role. + Operate indoor and outdoor cranes, perform housekeeping tasks, and handle exposure to the elements. + Pull beams, load flatbed trailers and railcars, rigging, inventory receiving, moving materials via overhead crane, filling out shipping reports, and documenting outgoing loads. + Adhere to all safety rules, including visibility to other associates and avoiding walking between stacks. + Potential training for saw or brake operator, forklift operator (promotional opportunity), steel bending machine, or beam saw/cutters. + Learn and retain information based on color-coded inventory system. **Basic Requirements:** + Heavy industrial or construction experience required. + Ability to read a tape measure (verification required). + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (most tasks involve reaching, stooping, squatting, and crane operation). + Experience operating equipment safely and effectively in a heavy industrial or construction environment. + Overhead crane experience in a heavy industry or related field preferred. **Shift & Pay:** + Shift Start Times: 15 minutes prior to the actual shift for the safety meeting. + 2:45pm-11pm (2nd shift) + 10:45pm-7am (3rd shift) **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
