Job Description
We are hiring Registered Pharmacy Technicians for our call-center. The role involves handling a heavy volume of inbound phone calls and is responsible for various duties related to the receipt, review, and verification of patients’ prescriptions. This includes prepping and scanning documents, verifying patient data, and submitting prescription orders into the pharmacy data system. You will be required to verify HIPAA information and maintain confidentiality when speaking to patients and providers. Engaging in active listening with callers to confirm or clarify information, and diffusing upset patients or providers as needed is essential. Additionally, you will work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy teams to ensure patient and provider needs are met in a timely fashion, and coordinate with call center Hub programs as applicable.
ResponsibilitiesHandle a heavy volume of inbound phone calls.Receive, review, and verify patients’ prescriptions.Prep and scan documents, verify patient data, and submit prescription orders into the pharmacy data system.Verify HIPAA information and maintain confidentiality.Engage in active listening with callers to confirm or clarify information and diffuse upset patients or providers.Work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy teams to ensure patient and provider needs are met in a timely fashion.Coordinate with call center Hub programs as applicable.Coordinate the order and enter prescriptions based on their degrees of urgency through the pharmacy processing system.Maintain professionalism and document within processing systems based on policies and procedures.Efficiently enter data and information into the pharmacy processing system.Prioritize and organize work to meet agreed-upon deadlines.Enter prescription orders accurately and efficiently.Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.Essential SkillsData entry skills.Pharmacy Technician License (Florida Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacy Technician license).Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of prescription processing.Customer service experience.Ability to work in a call-center environment.Strong time management and organizational skills.Adaptability and flexibility.Efficient typing skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of retail pharmacy work experience.Experience with non-commercial pharmacy.High School Diploma or GED.Efficient use of email programs, instant messaging communications, and Microsoft Office programs.Ability to work in a high-paced environment with attention to detail.Demonstrates moderate knowledge and skills in own function.Ability to solve routine problems independently.Multitasking and handling multiple requests simultaneously.Ability to sit, stand, and use computer screens for extended periods.Ability to navigate between multiple computer programs with dexterity.Work Environment
This position is onsite in Lake Mary, FL. You will be provided with equipment such as a laptop and headset. The work schedule is Monday-Friday with shifts that could fall between 8am-8pm EST. The hours of operation are from 7am-10pm and may change based on business needs. The typical schedule includes a closing shift from 11:30am-8pm, and weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) usually from 6am-2pm. Lunch breaks are typically 30 minutes with two 15-minute breaks, which are scheduled and not flexible. The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00
