REQUIRED:   Must have previous histology experience, to include cutting, embedding and special staining

Hours:

Registry (.1) FTE 4 hours per weekSchedule depends on department needs, filling in for employees on vacation, or on planned leave and/or periods of high volumes to ensure appropriate TAT of specimens.Includes covering shifts during holidays

About the job

In this role, the Histology Tech will support the delivery of patient care by performing histology techniques that are utilized in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease to ensure laboratory turnaround time and patient care goals are met.

Here what you'll do

Performs histology processing including embedding, microtomy and manual/automated staining in accordance with standard operating procedures and accreditation requirements. Demonstrates the organizational skills required to complete work assignments within the time scheduled.
