Job Description:

Seeking Histology Tech!Full-time, M, T, Th, F - 6:30am-4pm 

Baptist Health Floyd, Laboratory
Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area

The role of the Histology Tech must exhibit a sound working knowledge of the embedding and cutting of tissue specimens, the preparation and staining of histology and cytology specimen slides and the processing of cytology specimens. The Histology Tech assists the pathologists with frozen sections, setting up gross, accessioning and other duties as needed. The Histology Tech should be well versed in chemical and hazardous materials safety techniques and policies and procedures. The Histology Tech evaluates procedures, executes quality control mechanisms, and performs preventive maintenance on all equipment and instrumentation.

Qualifications: 

High school diploma or equivalent preferredCollege preparatory courses or degree desirableRegistered HT (ASCP), HTL (ASCP) or eligible
