BayCare is currently in search of our newest Histologist Lead to join the laboratory team who is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and customer service to the community we serve!
The Histologist Lead is responsible for all phases of tissue processing from fixation to final slide, including special stains and techniques, performs specialized procedures, researches new techniques and instrumentation, assists lab manager with daily responsibilities, assigns staff to meet work assignments, assists in maintaining and revising policies and procedures, maintains files, records, and documentation required by state and federal licensing boards, cleans and maintains equipment and instruments, orders, stocks and maintains supplies and performs other duties as assigned.

State of Florida Histology License requiredASCP certified preferredEducation:
High School or Equivalent requiredTechnical College in Histotechnology, Associate's degree preferredExperience:
Five (5) years laboratory related requiredOne (1) year Supervisory role in related field preferredKnowledge of CAP regulations, Immunohistochemistry validation process and troubleshooting skills are requiredBayCare offers a competitive total reward package including:
