Job Title: Histology Associate
Location: Oro Valley, AZ
Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent
 
Responsibilities Histotechniques (Tissue Sectioning and Staining) Some experience with foundational histotechniques of embedding, microtomy, coverslipping, processing and primary staining. Experience with operating laboratory or manufacturing equipment. Receives detailed directions on all work. Follows standard operating procedures. Monitors and prepares bulk reagents May assist in preparation work for moderately complex techniques under the direction of more senior histology technicians.
Requirements Required H.S. Diploma or GED + 1 year of directly related histology experience Ability to read, analyze and following Operating Procedures Knowledge of basic manufacturing and laboratory techniques Skilled use of word processing and email Demonstrated experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement Experience with Google products (gMail, gSheets, gDoc, etc), preferred Experience with SAP required Ability to read, write and comprehend English Ability to work with cross-functional teams Ability to be agile and accurate in a high-volume environment Strong organizational skills, planning skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills - written, verbal Strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tasks and competing timelines Ability to use the technology associated with the industry. Ability to use precision tools Ability to have prompt, regular and reliable worksite attendance
