Histology Lab Assistant - Full-time

Job Description:

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

The Opportunity:

Histology: You’ll spend the majority of your time in our state-of-the-art Histology Lab, assisting with specimen processing, supporting the Pathology team, and ensuring smooth lab operations. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to grow your skills by contributing to other lab areas as needed.Cutting-Edge Lab Facilities: Work in a modern, well-equipped lab that fosters collaboration and excellence, performing over 1.3 million tests annually.Growth Opportunities: We offer personalized career ladders and ongoing professional development, giving you the tools to advance your career.

Key Responsibilities:

Accessioning surgical and cytology specimensAssisting Pathology staff with day-to-day tasksArchiving slides and FFPE blocksProcessing pap smearsPreparing gross benchesHandling tissue and hazardous waste disposalManaging reagents and restocking suppliesReceiving specimens via pneumatic tube systemAssisting with data processing, specimen registration, and other ancillary tasks when needed

Qualifications:

Prior lab experience and/or specimen processing experience preferredWilling to train motivated individuals with limited or no experience, including new graduatesStrong commitment to collaboration and teamwork
