Position Description

Manages and facilitates Pathology Services among the various hospital departments, medical staff and departmental staff. Collaborates with others on operational, planning, fiscal, human resource and quality management issues to assure that clinical systems, techniques and procedures are appropriate for departmental services.

Position Requirements

REQUIRED:
1. B.S. degree in Laboratory science, management, health science or related field OR five years experience as a Histotech.

2. Four years experience as a general supervisor.

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

4. Successful coordination, team leadership and training skills.

PREFERRED:
1. Graduate degree in Laboratory science, Management, Health science or related field

2. General lab management experience in operations, planning, fiscal, human resources and quality management.

3. Total Quality Management training.
