**Responsibilities***
This position will support the Dermatology Cutaneous Surgery and Oncology unit, located in Ann Arbor.
+ Embed, section and stain frozen sections for Mohs histology laboratory for microscopic evaluation by physician.
+ Assist in setup, breakdown, and maintaining Mohs laboratory.
+ Maintain supply inventory for Mohs laboratory.
+ Review phone screen schedule to verify that slides have been requested for phone screening.
+ Submit slides from referring physicians for official UofM reading. Maintain database log for outside slides.
**Required Qualifications***
+ Bachelor?s degree in chemistry, biology or other related science field or an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience.
+ Graduation from a histotechnologist (HTL) program
+ Manual dexterity.
**Desired Qualifications***
+ HT (ASCP) certification or equivalent registry
+ Prior histotechnology experience
+ Reasonable experience in chemistry or biology, knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in a laboratory

This position is included in the bargaining unit represented by the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which represents bargaining unit members in all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
**Background Screening**
