Histotechnologist - PATHOLOGY

Under minimal supervision, prepares human tissue for pathologist's examination by cutting, staining, and mounting tissue following established standards and practices.

Required qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or GED        College coursework at a passing grade or higher from an accredited College or University that includes a minimum of 90 quarter units (60 semester units) with at least 18 quarter units (12 semester units) in biology and 18 quarter units (12 semester units) in chemistry.    National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire 3 months Experience in a laboratory setting.

Preferred qualification:

Completion or enrollment in a NACCLS accredited histotechnician program.
