Job Description
We are seeking a qualified, highly motivated, individual with relevant experience for the position of (Senior) Therapeutic Specialist – HIV Prevention (PrEP) - based in ONTARIO EAST (1), ONTARIO WEST (1) and QUEBEC (1)
Reporting to the Director, HIV Prevention, the Therapeutic Specialist will be responsible for driving differentiation of Gilead HIV Prevention products and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to build the footprint of HIV PrEP within the territory.
As a core member of the HIV Prevention team, this role is responsible for achieving commercial objectives through excellence in account plan execution, and industry-leading customer relationship management and support.
Travel is required for this role, including air and overnight travel (up to 50%)
How you will help to ‘Create Possible’
Accountable for territory customer facing commercial efforts and responsible for achieving all product, market and expense targets.
Develop and maintain clinical expertise in principles of HIV disease prevention as well as build a strong understanding of HIV prevention patient pathways.
Develop and initiate strategies that create new business and support market expansion and creating new business initiatives for successful implementation of PrEP initiatives.
In collaboration with the HIV Treatment territory team, coordinate market data and field insights.
Lead the development and execution of cross functional account plans.
Establish superior working relationships with key opinion leaders and key accounts to ensure exceptional service delivery and responsiveness.
Organize HCP learning activities or scientific exchange where learning needs are required.
Provide support at professional meetings, including staffing exhibits, reporting on scientific sessions and facilitating meetings with cross functional partners as required.
Represent Gilead HIV Prevention at National and International conferences and exhibitions as assigned.
Facilitate and provide timely feedback to appropriate management regarding account business trends, changes in the therapeutic landscape, industry issues and business opportunities.
Establish and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with cross-functional peers and teams across the organization.
Operate in compliance with all Canadian laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of relevant activities.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Ideal candidates will possess a BA or BS degree, and 6+ years of relevant sales experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry; at least 4 years in specialty sales or relevant therapeutic area.
Proven track record of high performance, embodying a “can-do” attitude.
Demonstrated ability and desire to provide unprecedented customer support across various stakeholder groups.
Commitment to be a contributing member of a high performing team where individual and team successes align.
Ability to successfully work and collaborate with other HIV field-based and internal cross-functional partners.
Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate and apply data to inform decision making.
Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.

Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
