HME Dispatcher
Overview Expected pay for this position is $20.21 - $23.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: The Centralized Dispatcher for Home Medical Equipment (HME) reports to the HME Operations Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring the routes and delivery of equipment and supplies are completed in a timely and accurate manner, both in the Central Illinois and Northern Illinois regions. Communicates schedules with patients and delivery staff. The HME Dispatcher responsible for reconciling delivery tickets both at the start and end of each day. Escalates any scheduling or delivery issues to Operations Supervisor or Manager. Performs duties of a Service Technician as staffing dictates. Duties may include warehouse and vehicle responsibilities. Responsible for scheduling vehicle maintenance for OSF Home Care. Performs vehicle safety check each day before leaving. Assists with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles. Assists in other warehouse duties as requested. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Provides own transportation and auto insurance and abides by all laws, rules and recommendations for safe driving while on duty. Maintains a valid driver’s license. Past driving record allows inclusion as an insured driver on OSF Home Care’s auto insurance policy, as evidenced by Motor Vehicle Report from IDOT. Demonstrates ability to work independently and execute own workload. Must be able to use and operate medical and/or office equipment. Interpersonal skills to work with all levels of staff and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously Ability to lift 50+ pounds. Expected to take department on-call as required. Expected to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2-3 years of supervisory experience OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
