Ensures that the Home Based Program is operated in a way that exemplifies Easterseals Southern California and Head Start Performance Standard goals of providing children and families with services in core areas of early learning, health, and family well-being while engaging parents as partners every step of the way. Responsible for supervising and developing home visiting staff from recruitment and onboarding to coaching and evaluation. Works collaboratively and shares expertise with all related staff as needed to assure family-centered service delivery.

 

Starting Pay Rate: $29.74–$37.43/hr.

Responsibilities Provides Home Visitors and Home Visitor Supervisor(s) with regularly scheduled supervision, including reflective supervision, assuring that services are delivered consistently, child and family needs are addressed, and that curriculum is being implemented to fidelity.Provides training and implementation sessions for all Home Visitors including the software programs (Child Plus). Provides newly hired Home Visitors with a comprehensive Onboarding and training to support any experiential gaps at time of hire.Conducts on-going monitoring of Home Based Program by regularly auditing Child Plus documentation and reports providing feedback to address program needs in a timely manner.Collaborates with the Education Coordinator(s) to ensure that the highest quality of educational services are provided to children and families including supporting the programs School Readiness goals.Coordinates, along with the Family Services staff, all Parent, Family, Community Engagement (PFCE) events and work to ensure consistent family engagement activities program-wide.Coordinates the ordering and monitoring of all Home Based Program supplies including any inventory at outlying Centers.Conducts home visit observations with Home Visitors and utilize The Home Visit Rating Scales (HOVRS) to support home visiting practices as needed.Actively participates in the program's ERSEA process and engaging in program-wide recruitment efforts.Assists in the annual revision of the agency Policies and Procedures, Strategic Planning efforts, and support Community Assessment and the annual program Self Assessment.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Human Services related field from an accredited university, required; Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Social Work, preferred.Possession of a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or higher or 24 units ECE/CD including core courses (Child Growth & Development, Child/Family/Community, Infant/Toddler and Programs/curriculum) and must have completed 3-6 units of Infant and Toddler class from an accredited college with a “C” grade or better.Must meet ongoing educational requirements to qualify for child development permit/CDA requirements.3 years' experience as a Home Based visitor and or 2 years experience as a supervisor in an Home Based program.Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Skype).Supervise diverse team members, with coaching skills that result in accomplishing goals through direct reports.Good oral and written communication skills.Ability to work independently.Able to facilitate group presentations.Strong collaboration skillsAbility to exercise sound judgment, plan, establish and meet timelines.Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test.Ability to properly interpret and implement regulations of the California Department of Education, Funding Terms and Conditions (Title 5), Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing (Title 22), Head Start Performance Standards, and of Easterseals policies and procedures.Ability to provide any/all current immunizations as required by the State of California for child development centers and staff.Must complete California-mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training as well as Pesticide Safety Training (per Healthy Schools Act) prior to beginning work.Able to develop knowledge of infant and toddler development, safety issues in infant and toddler child care settings (i.e., reducing the risk of SIDS).Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements.
