Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** Plans, organizes and coordinates the business needs for the Pharmacy Department. Participates or leads committees with a focus on customer retention through support, education, quality assurance, customer satisfaction surveys and performance improvement. Responsible for charge entry, billing, collections, scheduling and reporting in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. Serves as resource for Pharmacy staff including reporting, training, policy and procedure development, interpretation and compliance. **What you will do** + Responsible to have a basic organizational knowledge of the operational unit and a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy billing to foster relationships. + Uses effective communication skills to expand awareness of the breadth and depth of pharmacy services provided at the facility to promote growth and customer retention. + Completes and implements pharmacy contracts with facilities, insurance entities and vendors to gain reimbursement. + Coordinates pharmacy credentialing by the insurance industry to ensure pharmacy payment systems are maintained. + Receives charge, billing and scheduling data and inputs information into the computer system in an efficient, timely and accurate manner to maintain accuracy of billing and scheduling. Coordinates with collections for charges if needed. + Generates and supplies computer-generated statistics and reports for use by key pharmacy personnel in analysis and operations of the pharmacy. + Assists in the training of pharmacy personnel in computer functions and coordinates their educational needs to maintain a highly qualified pharmacy staff. + Assists with implementation of immediate and future department goals and objectives. + Assists with review of operating policies, procedures, and plans for the department including interpretation, compliance and proposed revisions or updates to ensure accurate documention of departmental procedures. + Leads pharmacy committee(s) in focused customer service review and reporting of financial implications of customer retention and loss. Includes review of pharmacy customer satisfaction surveys, billing efficiency and assessment for quality improvement opportunities. + Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. **Essential Qualifications** The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
