As a Collateral Analyst IV in Chase Home Lending and put your exceptional knowledge and understanding of appraisal products to good use by completing our customers’ collateral reviewer piece of the process for the loan file. The Home Lending/Collateral Valuation Group team supports you by sharing demonstrated knowledge in this area of specialization. You will adhere to all Chase required review requirements while completing the review process for loan products offered by Chase. Job responsibilities
Protects the bank’s profits by evaluating risk and/or fraud exposure. Reconciles findings with published guidelines to address/resolve variances and identify relevant compensating factors evident in the loan file, and communicates findings. Applies knowledge of mortgage servicing process and/or Chase collateral guidelines, keeping up to date on all collateral policy changes that impact Collateral Review. Demonstrates a determination to get the job done right the first time while ensuring loan decisions meet all program and product specifications with high proficiency in analyzing appraisals, and review of Collateral documentation to ensure compliance with investor requirements (e.g. loan tools, appraisals, etc). Highly developed verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent teamwork with internal employees and external customers/business partners. Achieves and exceeds work goals for productivity, quality and turnaround time while providing customer service excellence. Adheres to all Chase Fair Lending practices. Applies relevant technical and computer expertise.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Minimum of ten years of experience as an appraisal reviewer, credit underwriter, residential appraiser or any combination equaling 10 or more years. Excellent analytical and decision making skills, works well under pressure. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Strong technical skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Collateral Management System, etc.) Strong communication skills (written and oral) Detail oriented with control focus. High School diploma or equivalentPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
College degree in business and/or equivalent work experience Licensed or Certified Appraiser license Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory requirements Federal Housing Authority/VA appraisal review experience
