**Position Highlights**
**Summary**
+ The HME Site Manager provides medical equipment products and services following company policies, procedures, and standards to meet the needs of patient and referral sources.
**General Hours of Work**
+ Monday through Friday
**Managerial Responsibilities**
+ Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
**Departmental Supervision**
+ Home Medical Equipment
**Education and/or Experience**
+ One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer experience required. Prior related work experience preferred.
**Certificate, Licenses, Registrations**
+ This position requires a valid driver’s license and must carry their own automobile liability insurance.
**Essential Functions**
+ Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and maintaining strategies and initiatives for the following Essential Functions:Assists in the planning of equipment needs for patients and delivers, trains, and services equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendation. Maintains equipment and product knowledge.
+ Responsible for completing equipment records, patient charts, and insurance information for billing purposes.
+ Responsible to assist in equipment servicing, maintenance, and cleaning according to manufacturer’s specifications, safety, and infection control standards.
+ Conducts home visits to perform quality control checks on equipment and reviews with the customer proper use and safety factors.
+ Explains basic reimbursement guidelines to customers and referral sources through company intake process.
+ Responsible for taking call as scheduled outside of office hours, if applicable.
+ Inventory control activities are efficient and loss is minimized.
+ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
