HOURLY RATE:$18.50

SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting and backing up the Program Manager with operations of the Home Safe Home Program. The Home Safe Home program’s purpose is to install equipment (i.e. grab bars, railings, raised toilet seats, etc.) to help prevent falls and injuries. The team works together in client homes, traveling in the agency vehicle with the equipment needed to complete the visits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide home safety assessments; identify modifications needed and install equipment as needed.
2. Communicate additional client’s needs back to referral source for follow-up.
3. Assist with record keeping and documentation in the agency database, PeerPlace.
4. Assist with procurement of supplies, storage, and re-stocking the vehicle.
5. Assist in maintaining the program vehicle, routine maintenance, gas, tires, annual inspection, etc.
6. Supervise program volunteers
7. Attend conferences and training sessions as appropriate.
8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:AAS preferred, but must have experience with minor home modifications
EXPERIENCE:Experience with home repair and modification. Experience working with older adults and volunteers.
Customer service experience
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
· Requires lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
· Valid driver’s license and insurance
· Working in challenging conditions both inside and outside of homes.
· Assembly skills required.
· Excellent communication skills are required.
· Ability to maintain records accurately.
· Ability to maintain composure under difficult situations.
· Ability to work in multi-cultural situations.
