As the Pre-Referral Specialist, you will monitor delinquent loans and prepare the loan to refer to foreclosure to ensure compliance with all investor, guarantor, insurer, state and federal guidelines/timeframes are adhered to.

The Pre-Referral Specialist role is responsible for preparing delinquent loans for referral to foreclosure counsel. Responsible for managing FHA, USDA & VA loans and strongly aware of all investor requirements to ensure timelines & policies are strictly adhered to including 1st legal deadlines. A thorough understanding of original mortgage documents, including but not limited to the Note, Mortgage, Deed, POA, title insurance and appraisals, is essential. Interact with Loss Mitigation & Bankruptcy departments to ensure proper steps are adhered to ensure borrowers are not active Military, filed Bankruptcy or seeking Loss Mitigation assistance. The processor should understand the difference between a Breach, Notice of Intent, Demand and Statutory letters to ensure the correct letter(s) have been sent to all proper parties.Send and receive original collateral files with foreclosure counselConfirm all investor requirements were met prior to commencing the foreclosure action. Review daily reports to ensure investor/insurer guidelines are met timely with respect to breach letters, referrals and foreclosure hold statuses. Demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of all default, breach, and state specific notices. Review loans to ensure all state and insurer mandated communications have been sent to all interested parties.Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
MSP/LPS - Black Knight/ICE3-5 years of mortgage servicing experience 1-2 years foreclosure experienceCandidate should have strong time-management skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize work assignments, be detail oriented and self-motivated.
