Home Training Registered Nurse, RN

Our Home Training Registered Nurses evaluates and trains the dialysis facility’s home patients, care partners and families for the home hemodialysis program. This position exercises knowledge of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment. Position must demonstrate familiarity with hemodialysis equipment, procedures, and the knowledge, skills, and judgement necessary to assume the responsibility of caring for the dialysis patient. Applicant must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Current state nursing license required.

The Job 

Educating prospective patients on how a home dialysis modality can offer comfort and freedom Training patients on their chosen home dialysis modality; peritoneal or home hemodialysis Collaborating with a Nephrologist to come up with treatment plans that best works for the patient Educational workshops to keep the team up to date on the latest technologies and evidence based practices Following your patients' conditions and lab results to ensure safety and success of their chosen modality Rotating on-call with the help of an answering service to help patients when office is closed

Requirements:  

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.   12 months of experience in nursing Additional 3 months of experience with specific modality Valid Driver's License or reliable transportation  Current CPR/BLS certification Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from accredited school; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); or three year diploma from accredited program.   The ability to reach and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to speak effectively with clients and fellow state members.   The desire to make a positive impact on your patients' and their families lives
