Home Visitor - Early Childhood (Tazewell and Woodford - Bilingual preferred)

The Home Visitor is a critical member of the Early Head Start team, providing comprehensive home-visiting services within a strength-based, family-centered model to expectant parents and families with young children. As a Home Visitor, you will assess the strengths and needs of children and families, partner with parents to establish family and child development goals, and support families in expanding their support systems. You will have a caseload of 10-12 expectant parents and families with young children to provide observations of parent-child interactions, including assessing for effective communication and empathic responses, and engage parents in reflective dialogue on the developing parent-child relationship.

Candidate qualifications: 

Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field with at least five courses that include life plan or infant development and family relations required. You are at least 19 years old per state and federal guidelines. Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish preferred. Experience working with children and families preferred. Attend in-person family visits and meetings required. Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.

Job details: 

Compensation: Range starts at $20.19/hr; offers are commensurate with experience and bilingual candidates may receive additional financial compensation. Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, 3+ weeks paid time off in the first year including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day (PTO increases with tenure); 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here)  Location: Hybrid (on-site/community-based/remote): Work is completed at home-based and other community-based locations in Tazewell and Woodford Counties; services may be provided virtually when necessary for safety reasons. Home Visitors may work from the agency office in Bloomington, or from their home/remote location between client visits as desired. Schedule: Full-time, hourly; general business hours with some flexibility required for evening family visits and special projects.  Student Loan Forgiveness: Brightpoint is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
