The Home Health Homemaker will assist home health patient/resident care with performing household activities to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. The Home Health Homemaker completes assigned tasks to ensure timely, efficient and safe patient/resident care. Communication and interactions with patients, residents, families and other health team members is an essential component of this position.
Responsibilities Performing light housekeeping activities to maintain a safe and clean environment.Planning and preparing meals.Accompanying the patient/resident outside of the home, if directed.Participating in supportive activities to promote or maintain the patient/resident independence in the home setting.Maintain household routines.Follow a designated work plan.Communicate significant changes in the status of the patient/resident and/or family.Maintain a record of activities as directed.Promote the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company.Performs other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned. Valid Driver’s License
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
Good standing on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entityPrevious home health, hospital, or nursing home experience preferred CPR certified
