Our Irvine, CA team is seeking an Technical Manager of Mobile Engineering to join our team in supporting the supporting multiple software products and brands across the organization, such as www.homes.com and www.homesnap.com. You will have a direct impact on highly visible Homes web applications that touch millions of users. You continuously learn emerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply the learnings to improve Homes’ software products.
This position is located in Irvine and offers 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
Responsibilities
Act as a player coach with 6+ years of industry experience managing multiple project development teams working on multiple concurrent projects
Coordinate the activities and deliverables across multiple teams while resolving issues and ensuring appropriate priorities
Mentor and manage Technical Managers in the normal execution of their responsibilities.
Interact regularly with technology and business executives
Translate business requirements into technical requirements, develop project plan and work schedules for use by scrum development teams
Successfully implement software development projects to specification and within scheduled timelines and budget parameters. Ensure proper software development practices are followed and provide guidance and/or assistance when necessary
Provide status reports and feedback to Business Management
Act as release manager to ensure product components are released for production deployment as tested
Drive continuous improvement within Scrum team by focusing on engineering excellence
Work with recruiting to identify, hire and onboard top industry talent
Coach, motivate, train, and retain key contributors
Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices
Act as "Voice of the Customer" when participating in product readiness reviews
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college
A track record of commitment to prior employers
6+ years of experience with mobile iOS and/or Android application development
4+ years in managing/leading a development team, including managing managers
Experience with mission critical, high volume, mobile apps and/or web-based systems
Proficient in Android and/or iOS development tools, SDK, and related languages (Objective C/Swift/Kotlin).
Strong written and verbal communication skills; Must be able to communicate at a level appropriate to the audience (direct reports, peers, and senior management)
Excellent team building, negotiation and consensus building abilities
Ability to motivate and build high performance testing and software development teams
Preferred Qualifications And Skills
High proficiency in testing methodology, Agile methodology, test documentation procedures and QA Best Practices
Strong computer system analysis and design skills in current methodologies and patterns
Requirements Analysis & Management
Understanding & implementation of automated test processes

This position offers a base salary range of $148,000 - $260,000, based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
