Position Summary  

A Bartender is responsible for creating a service-driven atmosphere that will inspire guests to return for multiple occasions by providing guests with an unforgettable experience. A Bartender is responsible for preparing, mixing, and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. This position must be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers’ needs and expectations. This position will interact with guests and ensure they have an excellent and safe experience.  

  Responsibilities   

Responsible for preparing, mixing, and serving beverages/order to guests  Maintaining bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages  Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions  Completing business transactions by using POS system and cash management  Assessing customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations  Following policies and procedures in accordance to the company, brand, and applicable state and local laws, including checking customers’ identification to ensure they meet age requirements  Maintaining a safe and secure bar environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; judging when customers have consumed too much alcohol; calling for alternate transportation and complying with all legal regulations.  Keeping the bar counter and work area neat, clean, and attractive at all times  Regularly inspecting and cleaning equipment to ensure excellent working condition and sanitation; achieving or maintaining safety/health certifications for self and follow health and safety rules.  Demonstrating excellent customer service and interaction by promptly and efficiently responding to all guest inquiries, complaints, or needs  Ensuring that the bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed in serving guests  Providing guidance/information to guests in regards to hotel facilities, dining options, and area information  Determining when a customer has had too much alcohol and if required refusing any further service in a polite way  Staying guest focused and nurturing an excellent guest experience  Attending weekly meetings and training and taking initiative to improve and learn new skills   

Requirements   

Prior bartending experience preferred   Prior hospitality bartending experience is a plus  State health and/or alcohol compliance card required  Previous experience with POS system and cash management  Customer-service oriented  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills  Strong initiative and work ethic  Punctual , reliable, and regular attendance  Strong organization skills and attention to detail  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  Excellent multi-tasking and decision-making skills
