Position Summary

A Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the revenue and expense transactions which occur each day at the hotel. The Night Auditor is also responsible for performing Guest Services Representative duties.

Responsibilities

Closing and balancing all room accountsCounting and balancing cash and credit card receiptsBalancing direct bill accountsVerifying and balancing vouchersRunning a trial balance reportInvestigating or analyzing out-of-balance situationsMaking adjustments or corrections to accounts as neededPrinting and distributing various computer audit reportsCompleting required revenue and expense reportsPreparing guest folios for Express Check OutKnowledge of and ability to perform all Guest Services Representative responsibilitiesKnowledgeable of hotel fire and safety procedures; monitoring and maintaining property security.Ability to open and stock daily breakfast as neededProviding information to guests about hotel services, facilities, and other amenitiesResponding to requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area (e.g. directions, places to eat, etc.)Listening and responding to guests’ requests or complaints and communicated these requests and complaints to appropriate team membersBalancing shift work and cash drawersKnowledge of and ability to perform shuttle/van driver responsibilities as needed

Requirements

Prior front desk and/or customer service experience is preferredCustomer-service orientedExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong initiative and work ethicPunctual , reliable, and regular attendanceStrong attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills – verbal and writtenStrong analytical and problem solving skillsKnowledge of local geographic area, including businesses/services, attractions, and major roads/highwaysValid driver’s license and Department of Motor Vehicles Report (if applicable)Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet the required criteria for driving a company vehicle
