Horizontal Aligned Compliance Senior Manager

**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is seeking a dynamic and pragmatic risk manager to join the International Business Aligned Compliance management team to lead and build out the International Horizontally Aligned Compliance team.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Lead a team of Compliance Officers responsible for the coverage of Horizontally Aligned Compliance Programme (“HACP”) topics.
+ Set the strategy and vision for a newly established international HACP team working with partners in the US.
+ Manage and oversee horizontal topics that include Complaints Oversight, Customer Tax, Privacy, Reg W, Third Party Risk Mgt, Volcker and Individual Accountability.
+ Be a technical expert on third party risk management rules and regulations, and bring your industry standard knowledge to life
+ Oversee and uplift the intragroup outsourcing arrangements and related processes and framework
+ Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
+ Represent Compliance at relevant governance committees and other forums as necessary by providing challenge and technical regulatory compliance advice.
+ Work with other global and international Business Aligned Compliance leaders across the horizontal topics under your responsibility
+ Proactively support the business in the identification and management of Compliance risks
+ Collaborate and influence all levels of stakeholders and internal clients
+ Build relationships with corporate, business leaders, Legal, Audit, regulators and industry partners on risk related topics
+ Manage the allocation of resources in the team, prioritising risk and
+ Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Experience in Compliance, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ Management or leadership experience
+ Proven experience in the compliance and regulatory field within financial services and extensive knowledge of third-party risk management and outsourcing rules at a leading global financial services firm(s).
+ Strong understanding of the market and regulatory environment in which Wells Fargo operates.
+ Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions with a track-record for delivering results.
+ Seasoned Compliance professional with matured leadership capabilities, including but not limited to: ability to make critical decisions, work collaboratively, ability to develop others, enabling high performance, building self-insight and effective risk and control environment.
+ Self-starter with the ability to meet or exceed deadlines, prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in fast paced, changing environment.
+ Vision, direction setting and forward planning.
+ Strong intellectual capability and flexibility, balanced by a practical and pragmatic approach and able to consider issues from multiple angles and lead debates and discussions with multiple stakeholders.
+ Able to exercise independent thought, and influence/challenge senior stakeholders, including an ability to confront conflict and difficult issues in a professional, assertive, and proactive manger while remaining sensitive to business needs.
+ Good sense of judgement and absolute commitment to Wells Fargo transformation journey
+ Ability to lead projects with a focus on pace of execution and stakeholder collaboration.
+ Ability to forge relationships across multiple functions to enhance the Compliance brand.
+ Ability to deal with change and exhibit a service led mindset to support our stakeholders.
+ Ability to challenge independently and constructively.
+ Communicate effectively and confidently, orally and in writing at all levels of the organization.
+ Capable of distilling complex processes and conveying them in concise and simple ways.
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Strong educational background ideally with a university degree and academic track record.
+ Professional qualifications, certificates, and/or registrations relevant to Compliance/financial services.
+ Corporate and Investment Banking experience, either in Compliance, Legal, Risk or the Business.
+ Experience building out a new team aligning to industry standard and best practice
