**Job Description**
We are looking to add a Manual Boring Mill Operator to our team. The main duties involve setting up and operating boring machines to bore, drill, tap, spot face, groove, mill, or ream metal workpieces. You will interpret blueprints and job orders for production specifications and tooling instructions, work with designers, management, and toolmakers to troubleshoot design and blueprint discrepancies, compute cutting speeds, feed rates, and dimensions, and operate boring mill machines including drills, taps, end mills, and reamers.
**Responsibilities**
+ Interpret blueprints and job orders for production specifications and tooling instructions.
+ Work with designers, management, and toolmakers to troubleshoot design and blueprint discrepancies.
+ Compute cutting speeds, feed rates, and dimensions.
+ Set up and operate boring mill machines including drills, taps, end mills, and reamers.
+ Operate manual inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and thread gauges.
+ Observe machine operation, remove and inspect machined workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
+ Monitor machine performance and recommend maintenance, safety, and function improvements to management.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in boring mill operation and general machining.
+ Experience with tooling and blueprint interpretation.
+ Ability to compute cutting speeds, feed rates, and dimensions.
+ Proficiency with manual inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and thread gauges.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Associates degree plus at least 2 years of experience and/or training in boring mill operation or general machining, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
+ Knowledge of basic math, algebra, and geometry concepts.
+ General machining knowledge, including development and understanding of structures, castings, and tooling.
+ Manual and quality inspection experience.
+ CNC programming knowledge is preferred.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00
