Hospice Administrative Triage Support, Part Time
**BAYADA** is looking for **Hospice Administrative Triage Support, Part Time** ! This position would be fully **remote** , supporting our hospice triage nurses. Ideally looking for individuals who are seeking about **20-30 hours a week and are flexible on the weekends** ! The Hospice Administrative Triage Support role is responsible for assisting triage nursing staff with administrative tasks that include but are not limited to receiving and coordinating hospice referrals from physicians, hospitals, facilities, and other community resources, scheduling after-hours visits, answering calls and directing calls appropriately, monitoring reports and faxes, and coordinating with office staff. This role works in collaboration with the triage nursing staff to support inbound after-hours calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member. The position works with and supports families, clients, facilities, and physician groups, and the administrative triage support role will positively impact the experiences of our clients and families. **Our Administrative Support staff will:** + Ensure all activities performed align with the leadership of the hospice + Serve as the lead coordinator of client pre-admission activities and is responsible for all aspects + Coordinate BAYADA hospice services with referral sources, insurance companies, clients, and families + Process client referrals, coordinate the admission of clients, and collaborate closely with hospice branch operations and sales team + Collaborate with different BAYADA functional offices to obtain necessary billing information, clinical information, referral source/account preferences, and build effective working relationships within the work group for the benefit of our clients. + Perform an initial screening/verification of benefits according to Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor guidelines, coordinate equipment with contracted vendors, and gather supporting information and/or documents pertinent to client admission to the program. + Audit client charts in HCHB, ensuring all necessary documents are signed, dated, and uploaded to HCHB. + Contact the client and family, liaison and/or Program Manager, referral source, and branch staff within one (1) hour of the referral. **Administrative Support qualifications:** + 2 year degree required, 4 year degree preferred. + Minimum two (2) years of experience and/or training with Experience in a medical office environment, customer service role, and intake experience is preferred. + Experience with HCHB preferred. + Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn throughout Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to discuss the benefits of hospice to clients, families, facilities, and physician offices. + Possesses a high sense of integrity, advanced customer service skills, and effective organizational and interpersonal skills. **BAYADA** believes that our employees are our greatest asset: + BAYADA offers a comprehensive benefits plan that includes the following: Paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, vision, dental and medical health plans, employer paid life insurance, 401k with company match, direct deposit and employee assistance program + To learn more about BAYADA Benefits, click here (https://www.bayada.com/benefits/) **As an accredited, regulated, certified, and licensed home health care provider, BAYADA complies with all state/local mandates.** BAYADA Home Health Care, Inc., and its associated entities and joint venture partners, are Equal Opportunity Employers.
