Position Overview

AVP of Sales for Hospice is responsible for sales operations in their assigned area. Directs the activities and strategy of the hospice field sales team to ensure established goals and performance objectives are achieved. Hands-on position develops, mentors and monitors sales teams to achieve optimal performance levels. Position assists in strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting. Analyzes competition and market trends and deploys manpower and resources accordingly to increase market share. Oversees implementation of Corporate and Brand programs and identifies revenue generating opportunities. Develops & trains sales team to improve selling effectiveness and woks under general direction.

This role will oversee the hopsice sales for Tenneesee, Alabama, and Georgia, requiring regular travel to branch locations in these states. 

Essential Job Functions

Collaborates, develops and implements Segment strategy/plans to accommodate regional/area goals.Participate in monthly/quarterly/annual regional sales meetingsComplete understanding and mastery of hospice related financial metrics and able to deploy sales growth tactics to consistently deliver company budgeted revenue and margin targetsLeads and communicates segment's forecast and margin, resource needs, and customer communication.Helps VPS with interviews, hiring, and termination of employees, training, and performance evaluationsDevelops and implements segment's long-term customer strategiesRepresents Company at association meetings, conventions and shows to promote Aveanna Healthcare.Work with Segment Team leaders on approving and prioritizing projectsInvolvement in Company Initiatives/Task Forces as neededAssists sales team with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing dealsAnalyzes and controls expenditures of direct reports and team to conform to budgetary requirementsDevelops and maintains top C-Suite level relationships within segment customer baseEffectively presents proposals to improve Aveanna Healthcare overall performanceMonitors and evaluates the activities and services of the competitionMentor and develop those sales directors/leaders that direct report to them

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or UniversitySix years of proven successful hospice sales experienceDevelop, coach and manage 6-12 direct reports with successMust be able to travel up to 75% of the timeAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volumeAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formCurrent driver’s license and acceptable MVR
