Astria Health is seeking a Hospice Chaplain to join our team!

As the Hospice Chaplain, you will be responsible for providing compassionate, hospice and palliative care, providing spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff members of various faith backgrounds as well as to those who do not adhere to any particular faith tradition. You will:
Full clinical member for the healthcare team, providing service for the pastoral/spiritual needs and education of patients, families, and team members. Oversees the development, implementation and evaluation of practices, policies and procedures for the hospice program in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. This includes the delivery of professional bereavement services through home visits, phone calls, mailings, referrals. Works collaboratively with the Volunteer program team to recruit, train and staff spiritual care volunteers. Coordinates on-call spiritual care resources using local clergy. Other duties as assigned Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries. Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.
Required Qualifications and Education.
Theological Education as appropriate for chaplaincy. One or more years of experience working in a spiritual healthcare role in a medical setting. Two or years of experience working with the terminally ill. Demonstrated interfaith knowledge and sensitivity to a wide range of spiritual practices and beliefs. Demonstrated experience facilitating bereavement support groups and individual grief counseling sessions. Oral and written fluency in the English language.
