The Chaplain Manager participates as a member of the facility leadership team, and the healthcare team by evaluating spiritual needs provides one to one, short-term spiritual support to patients, families, and care team members in their facility. Like staff chaplains, the Chaplain Manager also provides supportive brief spiritual counsel and community referrals, following a comprehensive spiritual wholeness assessment of concerns. The Chaplain Manager leads the spiritual care team and is responsible for scheduling chaplain resources to provide for the care of the facility 24/7/365, reporting to Mission and Ministry Director/Exec. Dir. The Chaplain Manager also builds and nurtures relationships with community clergy, collaborates with Certified Educators, and other leaders who participate in direct spiritual care in the facility. The Chaplain Manager fosters a sense of mission that enhances a culture of Love, experience of Joy, and a sense of Peace within the hospital and among the healthcare team.
