**Full-Time:** Monday - Friday, 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Rotating between Loyola, Gottlieb, and MacNeal
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a fluent bilingual (Spanish/English) professional for a full-time receptionist position at Loyola University Medical Center. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact at the Hospital Main Entrance and Surgical Waiting Room, ensuring seamless operations by providing exceptional service to patients, families, and visitors.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**1. Communication and Customer Service:**
+ Provide information regarding patient locations and status.
+ Screen visitors to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
+ Answer phone calls, addressing inquiries about campus directions or transferring calls to the appropriate departments.
+ Relay relevant clinical information to customers and assist in addressing client needs by offering informed options for their Loyola visit.
**2. Escorting and Navigation Assistance:**
+ Direct or escort patients and visitors to test and treatment areas.
+ Assign pagers to surgical visitors and collect contact information to monitor their location.
**3. Problem Resolution:**
+ Recognize and address customer concerns, confusion, or anxiety by providing information, solutions, and service initiatives.
+ Assist with initial resolution of client complaints and escalate issues when necessary by contacting internal resources such as Patient Relations, chaplains, social workers, security, or housekeeping.
**4. Additional Duties:**
+ Serve as a concierge, including providing wheelchair assistance and physical aid to patients and visitors requiring help entering/exiting transportation.
+ Participate in ongoing training, in-service programs, and continuing education to meet personal, departmental, and organizational goals.
+ Cheerfully perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational success.
**Minimum Education:**
**Required: Associate degree** OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education; Bachelor's degree preferred.
**Specify Degree(s):** Communication, Psychology, Hospitality
**Minimum Experience:**
1-2 years of previous job-related experience required; 3-5 years preferred
Pay Range: $15.66 - $21.10 per hour
