**Job Title: Janitor** **Job Description** The individual will be responsible for cleaning hospital rooms in the hospital. Mostly discharges (when someone is discharged and the room is sanitized in between patients). There will be a significant amount of walking involved, so candidates must be comfortable being on their feet all day. They will wipe down equipment, empty trash, sweep floors, and dust. They will clean up spills, mop and wipe down surfaces as needed. There are multiple floors, so attention to detail is important. **Responsibilities** + Clean and sanitize hospital rooms, especially after patient discharges. + Wipe down equipment and surfaces. + Empty trash and dispose of waste properly. + Sweep, mop, and dust floors and surfaces. + Clean up spills promptly. + Use hospital-issued iPhones to receive assignments and access cleaning tutorials. + Learn and navigate the hospital's floor plan efficiently. **Essential Skills** + Experience working with smartphone technology. + Ability to learn and navigate a large facility quickly. + Attention to detail in cleaning tasks. + Comfortable with extensive walking and being on feet all day. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience in janitorial work, preferably in healthcare. + GED/diploma is preferred. + Must be able and willing to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. + Willingness to transition from other industries like manufacturing or distribution. **Why Work Here?** Once brought on direct, hospital employees benefit from very competitive medical, dental, vision, and PTO benefits. **Work Environment** Very fast-paced environment.
