**Job Title: Janitor** **Job Description** The individual will be responsible for cleaning hospital rooms in the hospital. This includes sanitizing rooms between patient discharges, wiping down equipment, emptying trash, sweeping floors, dusting, cleaning up spills, mopping, and swiping down surfaces as needed. The job involves a significant amount of walking, and candidates must be comfortable being on their feet all day. Attention to detail is crucial as the hospital has multiple floors. **Responsibilities** + Sanitize hospital rooms between patient discharges + Wipe down medical equipment + Empty trash bins + Sweep and mop floors + Dust surfaces + Clean up spills + Swipe down surfaces as needed + Use hospital-issued iPhones for assignments and work orders + Access cleaning tutorials via iPhones when needed **Essential Skills** + Experience working with smartphone technology + Housekeeping + Cleaning + Janitorial duties + Sweeping + Mopping + Sanitizing **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + GED/diploma is preferred + Must be able and willing to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted + Previous experience in janitorial work, preferably in healthcare + Willingness to transition to healthcare from manufacturing/distribution + Ability to walk and stand for extended periods **Why Work Here?** Once brought on direct, hospital employees benefit from very competitive medical, dental, vision, and PTO benefits. **Work Environment** The work environment is very fast-paced, as the hospital is a #1 trauma center. Employees may encounter situations that could be jarring to an average individual. Patience is required as it may take a few weeks to receive a badge due to the onboarding process. Employees must work a rotating schedule, including every other weekend and every other major holiday. The hospital has openings across three shifts: day shift (7:00am - 3:30pm), second shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm), and night shift (11:00pm - 7:30am). **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Danville, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
