Position Summary:

Analyzes complex hospital payroll and benefits issues, proposes solutions to address customer needs and acts as a functional expert for time and attendance reporting, and system updates and upgrades.  Responsible for testing and reviewing business requirements applied to the hospital timekeeping, attendance, and scheduling database to streamline processes.

Position Key Accountabilities:

1.  Analyzes and resolves time and attendance process errors and issues.  Audits and monitors leave coding and ensures accurate computation of hospital employee pay.  
2.  Provides training, assistance, and support for KRONOS Scheduler, Timekeeper, and Attendance application, as well as Payroll Time and Labor Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service.  
3.  Acts as a functional expert for time reporting, analyzes time and attendance policies and procedures, and recommends changes as necessary.  
4.  Researches, recommends resolutions, and responds to complex payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
5.  Prepares and maintains ad-hoc reports and queries in KRONOS and PeopleSoft for analysis of scheduling, timekeeping, and leave reporting.
6.  Audits, monitors, and takes appropriate actions to maintain integrity of KRONOS database, including security and privacy issues.  Interfaces with applications/operations on any backup or failures.
7.  Makes changes and enhancements to the KRONOS system as requested.  Assists in setting up standards and revisions.
8.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of education.

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years of payroll and/or time and attendance experience. Experience with hospital payroll preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
