Hospitalist NP/PA
 

Full time night position and PRN positions available.

The Hospitalist NP/PA will be responsible for caring for patients in the hospital setting, maintaining accurate and current patient records. They work closely with a hospitalist and a team of nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and deliver high quality care to each and every patient.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Analyzes test data and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment optionsMaintains current knowledge of clinical practiceAdmits patients to the hospital and performing comprehensive physical examinationsOrders and interprets diagnostic tests (e.g., blood work, x-rays)Develops and implements treatment plansPrescribes medications and monitors their effectivenessEducates patients and their families about their conditions and treatment optionsPerforms procedures as needed (within their scope of practice)Collaborates with specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated careDischarges patients and plans for their follow-up careDocuments medical records accurately and thoroughly

Education: Master's degree as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Certifications: Basic Life Support (CPR) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Preferred.

Additional Experience PreferredPhysician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner REQUIRED
