Prepares room set-up and breakdown, including refreshments, floral, and family mementos, for funeral services and events. Compassionately addresses family and guests. Work with kindness and compassion honoring the deceased.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares rooms for services and events. Physically moves and sets up chairs, tables, easels, podiums, photos and other personal keepsakes or mementos of client families. Displays floral arrangements that may weight up to 50 pounds.Prepares table for refreshments, including food, beverage, serving dishes, utensils, and similar that may be provided by catering, family, or company. May serve food as permitted by state/local ordinance. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization during eventAfter event, pack up family mementos and provide to the family upon departure or arrange for delivery.Cleans up room ensuring proper disposal of trash as well as care and storage company items. Clean, vacuum and sanitize area after events. Restock supplies; alert management to low inventory.Greet customers in a polite, positive manner. Anticipate customers’ needs and respond promptlyResolve customer issues and alert management when neededMINIMUM Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalentCertification/License
Food Safety Certificate may be required according to state/province regulationsExperience
Food and beverage server experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
