Hospitality Associate
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Hospitality Associate in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be primarily engaged in the organization and preparation of conference rooms and meeting schedules. Additionally, you will be tasked with the maintenance and ordering of catering supplies, as well as the provision of support to reception and office services. Responsibilities: • Monitor and adjust conference room and meeting schedules for any changes, ensuring accurate setups for meetings. • Organize conference rooms according to client requests, including the set up of audio/visual equipment, food, beverages, utensils, ice, etc. • Coordinate the cleanup of conference rooms post-use, returning any necessary property to vendors. • Prepare morning beverages in assigned kitchens and ensure cleanup of coffee makers in the evening. • Maintain communication with supervisor or client regarding meeting requests, concerns, or deadline issues. • Manage inventory of catering supplies and place orders as needed. • Order food and beverages required for meetings. • Contribute to the training of new hires and assist in the improvement of processes. • Adhere to all relevant policies and use equipment and supplies in a cost-efficient manner. • Provide backup support to reception and office services as needed. • Handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Requirements • Proficiency in various office functions, including administrative and clerical tasks • Experience in developing and conducting training programs for staff • Knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures • Familiarity with hiring processes, including recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding • Ability to perform receptionist duties such as answering calls, greeting guests, and managing appointments • Experience liaising with vendors, including ordering, receiving, and managing stock • Knowledge of property management, including maintenance and repair tasks • Proven ability in process improvement, with a focus on increasing efficiency and productivity • Experience in managing catering for events, including ordering, setup, and cleanup • Proficiency in managing conference rooms, including scheduling, setup, and cleanup • Experience in managing perks and benefits, with a focus on enhancing employee satisfaction and retention.
