Hospitality Management Internship - Food & Beverage/Retail | $18.00/hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:In-Park Duties and ResponsibilitiesInteract and support guests, fellow team members, and unit management on a daily basisAssists in controlling Cost of Goods by monitoring usage, portioning, and wasteComplete food preparation with the use of standard kitchen utensils and equipmentUtilize thermometers to frequently test and document the internal temperatures of product; perform quality checksMaintain work locations within Health Department and Safety guidelinesAssign cleaning tasks to unit management and follow up to ensure completion (Ex.: Fryer & Ice cream machine)Assist with assembling and serving a quality food product to the Guest in a timely manner by following the recipe; ensuring that the location has all products available that are needed to service the GuestsMaintain a safe work environment and aid in the elimination of hazards; utilize and ensure the team uses personal protective equipment (PPE) when requiredTrain and provide feedback to unit management on food storage while following HACCPFollow up with unit management to ensure food safety paperwork is being completed dailyAssist the retail team with unit upkeep including cleanliness, restocking and displayingFollow and complete all inventory control functions including verifying receivers, damages, and transfersOversee uniform sales to team members ensuring they receive all required pieces for their departmentFollow and complete opening and closing checklistsEnsure that all paperwork for all units such as waste logs, transfer forms, and weekly inventory are completed to help manage cost of salesEnsure all team members are correctly using EAS and are following EAS policies regarding accurate clock in/out times and break guidelinesAssist the IPS Manager with updating service logs and creating corrective action forms by tracking daily attendanceContinuously monitor department scheduling needs and ensure all schedules are posted three weeks in advanceComplete Seasonal EvaluationsAssist in facilitating rehire/new hire department training sessions and management trainingsProvide corrective action as needed, train and provide feedback to team members/managementEnsure team is following all policies and procedures by continuously training and providing feedback to team members and supervisorsOversee all IPS locations during duty shifts scheduled by department managerAssist with pre-season and post-season cleaning and inventory tasksSkills and Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old, 21+ preferredExperience in a previous food service or retail leadership position is preferredMust be available weekends, evenings, and holidaysWork Season: Mid-April – Early October (Work available during this range, can be flexible for school)Must be professional, self-motivated, and have an enthusiastic attitudeMust have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with othersAble to be self-motivated and work independently with little assistanceMust be able to stand and walk for up to 6 hours at a timeMust provide valid ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification or complete course upon hiringMust provide ServSafe Food Allergen certification or complete course upon hiring21+ must complete ServSafe Alcohol training

Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole
