HOSPITALITY SUPERVISOR

At SpaceX, we’re leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system. Starlink is the world’s largest satellite constellation and is providing fast, reliable internet to 4M+ users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – thousands of satellites, consumer antennae that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink’s potential global impact, and that work starts here at our Redmond Campus, we are looking for experienced kitchen personnel to help us create world-class food experiences for our growing teams.

The role of Hospitality Supervisor will be to assist with the direction and management of events, daily services, and other customer service activities related to Food Services.  This individual will assist in the development and implementation of effective customer service strategies and training programs.  The duties of Hospitality Supervisor will include, but are not limited to, coordinating service operations, staff positioning and motivation, direct report ownership, ensuring excellent customer service, engaging with customers, and hiring and developing talent.  The Hospitality Supervisor supports the mission by overseeing all day to day hospitality functions and creating friendly, welcoming service environments that enhance the productivity and morale within the workforce at SpaceX while ensuring the staff is performing to departmental and company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists with the organization of large events for both onsite and offsite locations Supports conceptualization and implementation of training programs Ownership of direct report structure with 5 or more staff members Conducts regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports Assists with staff management, hiring, performance evaluations, development and growth opportunities Sets and enforces standards of hospitality operations and guest interactions Enforces proper food safety practices with staff Coordinates and enhances time management for team Assigns staff responsibilities and task ownership for all Hospitality roles Facilitates effective communication throughout all levels and groups of staff Supports scheduling, sales data collection and reporting, and various other administrative tasks Supports conceptualization and implementation of new services and offerings

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalency certificate Must have 6 years of industry experience and 2 years of leadership experience

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Familiarity with ordering and inventory systems in a Food Services environment 8 years of previous food service experience in customer service role 5 years Leadership Experience Experience in corporate environment Experience with high volume and/or multi-facility operations Experience working in large team settings Strong time management skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Comfortable working with Microsoft office (work, excel, outlook and power point)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to carry large heavy items unassisted (up to 25lbs) Able to stand for long periods of time – up to 10 hours a day Able to work all shifts and available for weekends as needed Able to perform frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects Must have or be able to attain Manager level food safety certification Must participate in internal leadership and development training

 COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:   

Pay range: 
Hospitality supervisor/Supervisor: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00/per year             

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Exempt employees are eligible for 5 days of sick leave per year. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
