**Req Number** 143706 Job Description Oversees patient satisfaction according to the patient's nutritional needs by providing appropriate food trays and assisting patients in preparing trays as needed, such as opening milk cartons. Remains available to patients at meal service time to ensure patient satisfaction by making sure patients received the correct order and are enjoying their meal. Pick up and drop off trucks prior to passing and picking up trays. Obtaining food preferences as needed, taking care of any other issues on the floor and units covered. Job Responsibility 1. Oversees patient satisfaction according to patient's nutritional needs by Passing and picking up patient meal trays including logging advance of tray using Tray Monitor tool. Implement menu distribution, selection and pick up if necessary. 2. Pick up and drop trucks at elevator bay or unit prior to passing and picking up trays. 3. Remains available to patients at mealtimes to ensure patient satisfaction by making sure patients received the correct order and are enjoying their meal. Ensures that patients receive their trays. 4. Obtains patient's food preferences using the palm pilot if RSA on that shift. 5. Sets up workstation based on daily menu. 6. 6. Assembles all non-cooked items for all meal service, this not limited to sorting silverware and folding napkins for service. 7. Assembles trays based on menu selection. 8. Communicates effectively with patients, nurses, and family members to ensure satisfaction. 9. Communicates effectively with dietitians, food service staff, and managers to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of nutrition services. 10. Maintains close communication with dietitian when education and/or consults are needed, or when dietitian intervention is necessary. 11. Obtain changes in patient diet and room status, as needed. Communicates effectively with unit staff regarding changes. 12. Pick up NPO list, discharge list from all units to ensure appropriate passing of food. 13. Assures adequate floor supplies are available on assigned units. Performs other related duties of Host/Hostess as required. 14. Utilized CBord system to take patient orders. Ensures that patients receive their trays within their diet orders. 15. Maintains a safe clean and functional work environment. 16. Performs related duties, as required. *ADA Essential Functions Job Qualification High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Knowledge of nutritional abbreviations, required. Experience in food service/nutrition preferred. Detail orientated, strong interpersonal relationship skills and strong written and verbal communication skills, required. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
