Dining Room Host/Hostess CVI – Senior Living at Hartsfield Village (Powers Health)

Full-time: Day/evening shift: 7:30am – 2:00pm and 4:00pm – 7:00pm. Includes nights, weekends and holidays

Areas of Responsibility:

Enter Independent Living resident and guest meals into the Cardwatch system.  Maintain proper filing system for meal tickets Maintain daily GCI spreadsheet by recording daily meals for Assisted Living, guests, employee meals, events, etc Understand, inter-relate and service the needs of a senior population Prepare daily sheet of wait staff for next day, assign sections to wait staff for the pre and post work Assist with taking meals out to the residents and help dining servers as needed Assist with events and holiday parties Maintain a dining room reservation book for seating arrangements in all dining rooms. Maintain a watchful eye for any special cleaning needs in all dining rooms, kitchen or wait staff serving areas.  Let housekeeping department know of any special needs necessary to maintain a clean facility Covers Dining Room Supervisor and Assistant Dining Room Supervisor positions and acts in their capacity in their absence Other duties assigned by supervisor

 

Qualifications and Experience:

High school diploma A minimum of one year in dining room service Knowledge of fine dining service, table set-up, and proper service procedures A demonstrated stable work history Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and push/pull minimum of 90 pounds Able to read, write and understand English Able to perform simple mathematical calculations Able to adapt to any variety of job duties and situations Required to work flexible hours, such as during staffing shortages and emergencies
