THE JOB:

The Host Person is primarily responsible for warmly greeting guests in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked outlet. Additionally, they support Food Servers, Bus Persons, and Food Service Runners by providing guest contact assistance and table information.


THE STARTING RATE: $13.32 + direct tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Coordinate with the team on special requests and guest accommodations, ensuring all details are effectively communicated to management.

Stay informed about daily specials, in-house groups, occupancy levels, table and seating arrangements, proper table setups, room capacity, hours of operation, menu offerings, and dress code.

Greet guests warmly and promptly as they arrive.

Answer phone calls and maintain the reservation list.

Ensure menus are up to date and replace any that are worn or damaged.

Communicate guest needs and feedback to the kitchen and management, assisting as needed to ensure smooth operations and quality service.

Regularly check on guests waiting to be seated, keeping them informed and engaged while they wait.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, and properly close down the host stand while forwarding phones to the voice loop at the end of the shift.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing, crawling, kneeling, crouching, and balancing for extended periods.

Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Familiarity with hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and activities to accurately assist guest inquiries.

Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and team members.

Has experience working in a restaurant as a host (two years preferred)

Is flexible to work both day and evening shifts
