Hot Briquette Plant Supervisor

Ferrous Processing and Trading, a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, has an immediate opportunity for a Hot Briquette Plant Supervisor at the Windsor, ON operation. The Hot Briquette Plant Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of employees and administering policies and procedures that will contribute to the site's operations running efficiently.


Summary of Responsibilities:

Assigns and schedules daily tasks and workloads to meet production goals.Ensures all materials, equipment, and tools are available and in working order.Confers with plant personnel and plans and allocates the use of materials. Handling equipment such as conveyors, cranes, tractors, and trucks.Inspect incoming materials and verify invoices.Inspect machines and equipment and direct workers engaged in maintenance and repair work.Studies production schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements for completion of job assignments.Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.Interprets job orders to workers and assigns duties.Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.Maintains time and production records.Works with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED.Two years of supervisor experienceProficient in MS Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word)Excellent customer oral and written communication skillsProblem-solving, analytical, critical thinking, and decision-makingCollaborative; builds and works with teamsAbility to coach and mentorPre-employment background, physical are required
