**What you'll bring to the team**
**Scope of Job:**
Ensures the overall smooth and efficient operation of the hotel as it relates to guest service, greeting guests at the door, luggage handling, luggage delivery, and lobby care and presentation, contributing to the overall creation of memorable experiences.
**Main Responsibilities:**
+ Welcomes all guests to the Resort, providing dynamic, high quality service to all guests.
+ Assists and facilitates guest requests.
+ Assists guests with luggage upon arrival and departure.
+ Facilitates and/or assists with lobby cleanliness and organization.
+ Works effectively in a team environment.
+ Conducting Bell service activities such as luggage service upon guest’s arrival and departure, luggage storage, message service, information service and other related tasks
+ Opening the door of the car for the guest in a professional manner at the main entrance of the hotel and assisting to unload luggage and other belongings.
+ Extending a warm welcome to all guests arriving at the resort.
+ Rooming the guest in a professional way, this includes addressing the guest by name.
+ Being in charge of the lobby area as it relates to cleanliness, lighting and organization.
+ Assisting in providing area information to guests when Concierge is not available or on duty.
+ Being prepared to answer questions from guests related to the park, hotel and surrounding areas.
+ Assisting hotel with guest retention by providing excellent customer service.
+ Providing insight on cost saving initiatives as it relates to energy, product usage, efficiency and time.
+ The primary function of this position is guest service related. This position is required to engage and interact with guests in a professional and fun way and manage guest property in a responsible manner.
+ Actively model the Merlin Way.
+ Provide accurate and timely communication to guests and promote/contribute to effective communication within the team.
+ Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
+ Play an integral role in assisting with emergencies (i.e. fire, medical, power/system failure) by contacting the designated personnel for immediate assistance
**Health & Safety:**
Employees are responsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues and guests (where appropriate), in line with the Group Policy (HS001) and the law. In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.
**Physical Demands:**
Prolonged standing and walking to move about the resort site, and interact with guests and employees.Ability to bend, flex, lift, and all associated physical activity to lift, pull, push, and move moderate weight loads to heavy luggage.Finger dexterity sufficient to complete paperwork activities and to use a computer.Visual acuity sufficient to read written materials, to complete paperwork activities, and to drive.Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.
**Work Environment:**
Various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces.
**Other Job Requirements:**
Performs other duties as assigned.Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays & weekends to support resort operations.Attendance is a mandatory function of this job.
**Qualifications & Experience**
Must be knowledgeable about the local area and surrounding attractions. Candidates must be customer service oriented and be able to stand for long periods of time. Preferred candidates must be capable of providing excellent customer service, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
**Education:**
High school graduate or General Education Degree (or equivalent education and experience) is preferred.
**Pay Range**
USD $10.00/Hr.
