Summary of the role

As part of the CMS Hotel Content Management team, the Data Analyst works on data quality improvement by checking static descriptive content stored in Amadeus and dynamic data returned by Hotel Chains at the time of shopping/booking to detect incorrect or missing content. The Data Analyst sends reports to Product Management and all teams involved, informs Hotel Chains of all issues or changes to be made, and enhances the Hotel Content platform by adding data via cryptic entries, sending XML messages, or adding files to an FTP server. In case functional issues are detected, the Data Analyst will open IRs to R&D teams and do the follow-up.

The Data Analyst performs extensive data checks in Amadeus cryptic, graphic interfaces as well as API-Web Services, in messages transmitted by Hotel Chains, and by analyzing the Business Intelligence reports. They will also support Product Management for tasks that require lots of manual checks and will assist in improving the generation of automated reports by identifying specific key elements or performing data clean-up. The Data Analyst will assist in managing Hotel Content Management: Customer product activations, data updates in production, operational support to implementations, data monitoring, investigations of IR/PTRs, and solution findings through data correction, escalation, and follow-up.

In this role you'll:

Have the required technical and functional knowledge and experience in your discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it relates to your area.

Work using existing procedures or guidelines and provide inputs to support/influence area decisions. Make recommendations on new solutions and propose improvements by analyzing different sources of information.

Work independently with occasional guidance from the manager.

Specific accountabilities:

Ensure correct and appropriate data is received from providers and partners as defined by SLA.

Ensure total integrity of product-related data according to products and customer segment.

Provide support to content management-related issues as needed.

Provide quality analysis, quality checks, and monitoring of product implementation projects.

At hotel property creation time, systematically check hotel details and features. Advise hotel providers to add or correct missing/incorrect content and perform any necessary updates in Amadeus.

A Posteriori (Existing Properties) Monitoring - Check data provided by hotel providers and identify inconsistencies that need to be reported to our data providers.

A Posteriori (Existing Properties) Monitoring - Descriptive and dynamic content - Control BI reports showing hotel amenities, pricing, and single availability data compared to what is received in XML feed /Hotels Plus.

Help in improving the algorithm of the application by generating automated reports by enhancing the list of keywords for some specific elements or performing data clean-up.

Negotiated Rates Audit: Perform the validation of negotiated rates, perform an analysis of the results, and identify the reasons why those rates are not being returned as they should.

Rate loading: Update/map negotiated rate plans in the Amadeus platform as per rate loading instructions received from hotel properties. Manage access and security in the four Global Distribution Systems and ensure rates are properly returned.

Availability Audit: Perform the audit on hotel properties, creating reports to be sent to hotel chains.

Handle hotel partner registration requests, form of payment activation, and define margin and commission management. Ensure requests are correctly managed and on time. Improve the feedback from sales on processing times and quality of service.

Support production by solving and monitoring data problems (IRs/PTRs) respecting SLA.

About the Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience in content management or 2 years in product definition or implementation teams.

Good understanding of the hotel industry, hotel distribution, GDS environment, and content management activities.

Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in additional languages being an advantage.

Knowledge of Amadeus products and solutions, and incident/problem management is a plus.

Very good analytical, problem identification, and decision-making skills.
