Summary This position is located at Pililaau Army Recreation Center in Waianae, Hawaii (Island of Oahu). This position is eligible for Sunday Premium and Night Differential as applicable. Responsibilities Makes reservations for incoming guests based on room availability. Conducts interview with guests to determine suitable room assignments. Assists clientele with completing required forms and registration cards. Respond to inquiries regarding the rules and regulations governing the assignment and use of quarters. Issues room keys and provides statement of non-availability when applicable. Updates registration information on registration cards. Orients guests concerning use of facilities and equipment, and other facilities available on post. Answer billing inquiries and concerns. Assists or arranges transpiration services. Computes charges for guests checking out, receives payments and room keys; renders receipts. At end of shift, reconciles and secure cash . Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: 1. Proficiency in addition, multiplication, and division at a level sufficient to complete required reports. 2. Strong verbal communication skills and strong customer service skills. 3. A minimum of one year experience in a hotel front desk role is preferred. HIGHLY PREFERRED CRITERIA: 1. Minimum of 2 years experienced as a hotel desk clerk. 2. Candidates must have hands-on experience with system (i.e. Recreational Lodging Systems INFOR). 3. Must have knowledge or experience with Army MWR and/or DOD MWR. **To be evaluated as a highly qualified candidate, your resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the highly preferred criteria and minimum qualifications listed above. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
