Hotel Facility Manager conducts project inspection, inspects and monitors work by staff, outside vendors and contractors for quality, completeness and for conformance to specifications and standards. They are responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance, operations, and safety of all physical aspects of a hotel property. Their main role is to ensure that the hotel's facilities are well-maintained, functioning efficiently, and meet the needs of guests, employees, and the organization as a whole.

Duties:

Responsible for the overall maintenance of the hotel property. This includes coordinating and supervising repairs and preventive maintenance for the building, guest rooms, common areas, and amenities such as swimming pools, fitness centers, and spas. This is a working position and hours must be flexible to meet the demands of the business. That includes weekends, nights, holidays, etc. Participate in the preparation and management of the facility's operating budget, ensuring that expenses are controlled and allocated appropriately. They identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize facility operations. Facility manager works closely with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure quality services and cost-effective solutions. They negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor performance, and oversee outsourced services such as cleaning, landscaping, security, and maintenance. Ensure that the hotel meets all safety and health regulations, codes, and standards. This includes conducting regular inspections, implementing safety protocols, coordinating with relevant authorities, and maintaining accurate records of safety inspections and incidents. Promotes and implements energy-saving practices and sustainable initiatives throughout the property. This may involve monitoring energy consumption, identifying areas for improvement, implementing recycling programs, and exploring eco-friendly technologies. Collaborates with other departments, such as housekeeping and front office, to ensure a seamless guest experience. They address guest complaints or requests related to facility issues promptly and take appropriate actions to resolve them. Customarily and regularly directs the work of at least two or more other full-time employees or their equivalent. Has the authority to hire or fire other departmental employees.
