The Houseperson Team maintains assigned areas, service areas, linen closets, completes special project and support Guest Room Attendants by removing soiled linen, trash and providing supplies.
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to guests acknowledge all guests however busy and whatever time of dayAnticipate guests needs and requests promptlyBe familiar with all hotel services, features and attractions/ activities to respond to guest inquiries accuratelyMonitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.Ensure security of key and radio assigned.Review assignment sheet and update completed assignmentsCheck with supervisor and housekeeping office for additional assignments throughout the shiftResponsible for ensuring linen closets are stocked on each assigned floor and providing linen and supplies to Guest Room Attendants. Must clean and maintain assigned guest hallways and stairwells. Review assigned areas and complete general removal of trash and debrisMaintain cleanliness and organization of closets, remove trash, sweep, mop, and remove non-closet items and place in proper storage.Ensure hallways are vacuum and stairwells are free of trash and nothing is stored in stairwellsDust frames, mirrors, fire extinguisher boxes, exit signs, air vents on assigned areas,Clean ice machine room, all lamps, light fixtures, and light switches, check for proper working conditions.Remove dust, fingerprints and marks from doors and frames.Remove stains, scuff marks, and dust from baseboards, ledges and corers.Polish all brass surfacesClean balcony windowsReport any damages or maintenance problems to supervisorAssist Room Attendants to ensure guest rooms are prepared efficientlyRespond timely to guests’ special requests for miscellaneous items cribs, rollaway, extra towels, etc.Turn in any lost and found items to Loss PreventionPicks up linens and garbage from housekeeping carts throughout the day.Ensures storage areas are stocked properly Transports and supplies linens.Inspects all linen for quality, checking for stains, wrinkles, and overall fabric condition/appearance.Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests and fellow team members alwaysReports all repairs needed in all assigned work areas.OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High school diploma or equivalent required.Prior Housekeeping experience within a luxury four-star hotel brand preferred.Must have knowledge of the proper usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.Ability to learn, utilize and communicate effectively via company issued communication device (Radio)Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.Must present a well-groomed appearance.Ability to comprehend and speak English to understand and respond to information and address advanced guest requests required both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of additional language(s) preferredMust be guest service oriented and have excellent hospitality skillsMust be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Significant portions of day require prolonged standing and moving around. Ability to visually review documentsConstant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending stairs and rampSignificant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity, e.g., typing, handwriting, or machine operationsMust be able to use elevators frequently and work in a high-rise hotel. Must be able to push and pull 150-pound carts.Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Position requires 10% sitting, 30% standing, 60% walking.Able to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch to clean low and high areas of hotel room such as: floors, base boards, bathtubs, drains, toilets, shower walls, pictures, mirrors and shower rods.Able to fold linen, bed sheets, blankets, bedspreads, and pillowcases.GAMING PERMIT: N/A
