Currently still under construction, the first waterfront development in Suva will sport an All-Day Dining restaurant, bar and swimming pool.\n \nAbout the role\nThe Hotel Manager has the responsibility of the total performance of the property, implementing agreed Hilton strategies, ensuring the business has the correct focus to deliver the right level of profitability. \n \nResponsibilities\n\nLeads the team in the day-to-day operation of the Hotel according to the budgets set for the maximisation of revenue and profit through empowering the team to deliver.\nInspire the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences – every guest, every time.\nConfidently communicate the vision for the hotel and inspires the team in the delivery of the Hilton Garden Inn essence – Bright Hearted Hospitality.\nLeads and coordinates the implementation of all Global goals, projects, policies and events.\nConsistently challenges the status quo and looks to improve and innovate to provide the best possible service to our guests, the best environment for our team where they can thrive and provide the best relationship with our owners.\nChampions our recognition programs, leading by example through encouraging the heart of our team through individual and team recognition.\nHolds the primary and legal responsibility for workplace health and safety and ensures, so far as reasonably practicable, that the health and safety of all team members any other persons at the Hotel are not put at risk.\nBuilds and maintains good relations with Hotel stakeholders, ensuring timely reporting and payment of dues, and access to Hotel and records in accordance with policy.\n\nSkills/experience\n\nExperience of hotel leadership in a pacific island location or similar.\nSubstantial and successful track record in hotel operations across rooms and F&B.\nStrong commercial acumen and experience in commercially driving hotel results.\nPrevious Hotel Leadership experience: preferably 5 years or more in a hotel Director level role.\nHigh ability to maintain exceptional owner relations.\nExperience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results.\nStrong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to perform and exceed targets.\nDemonstrated ability to be a highly visible and hands on leader.\nCommitted to delivering high levels of customer service.\nPre-opening hotel experience is desirable.\nFlexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.\n\n \nWhy you’ll love working for Hilton!\n\nA competitive industry salary and generous annual leave benefits\nA generous bonus and incentive scheme\nLong term career development planning and opportunities\nAccess to the world’s best Team Member Travel Program with highly discounted rates\nDiscounts of up to 25-50% on products and services in participating Hilton outlets.\n
